Ground handling services are performed by Aviance, the largest handling company in the UK, with operations also across Europe and North America. Handling services for executive jets are provided by Signature Flight Support, also a multinational company, with headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Curiously, they are owned by BBA Aviation Services, also an international flight services company, based in Balderton Street, London.
Executive planes are maintained by Jet Engineering Technical Support Ltd, whose sole base is at Southampton Airport. JETS is a small company, established in 2004 and with fewer than 50 employees. Although they offer services to commercial planes, they currently do not cover the aircraft types that most of the commercial planes use.
Airfreight is handled by Ocean Air Cargo, a multinational air and sea cargo handling company based in Ontario, Canada.
The fuel farm, which provides 100LL (a kind of Avgas) to piston engine planes and JetA1 fuel to planes with jet engines, is operated by Exxon Mobil. The fuel is delivered by tanker lorry from Fawley oil refinery. (Well, we should promote local sourcing...)
In-flight catering is provided in a dedicated unit by City Net Catering UK, who also provide catering at five other airports; their central operations base is at Luton Airport.
WHSmith and World Duty Free have shops at the airport, the latter for international passengers.
